"We are experts at being kidnapped as African people. I just want to remind us of that. Uh and I also want to remind us of how uh the United States government it talks about having uh been able having created the technology and all of the technology in this country is designed uh and most of the colonial world is technology to deprive people of things to take their resources to maintain a social system of brutality, murder uh indignities imposed on the people all the time even as the colonizers sometimes seem to stand far away from it and hold themselves up as the protectors of the dignity uh and the humanity of the people on the planet.
